October is National Dental Hygiene Month! That may sound a little less exciting than celebrating Halloween, but it’s pretty important – and not just to us. Keeping up with dental hygiene is the best way to keep your teeth for life, cut back on dental emergencies and dental work costs (as well as the time involved), and ensure your smile stays lustrous and healthy.
Oral hygiene includes your dental routine at home and regular exams and cleanings at our office. Aside from cleaning and polishing your teeth until they shine, we also take a look at any problem that can go wrong in your mouth. That includes cavities, gum disease, infection, and oral cancer. These can affect aspects of your overall health and wellness. They can also indicate health problems outside your mouth, which we’ll be quick to bring to your attention.
